Most people head west towards the Wolds for walks but the Holderness coast to the east is brilliant too and it's even closer to Hull.
Spurn Point is the obvious one. That long narrow spit sticking out into the Humber is unlike anywhere else in England. The walk out to the lighthouse takes a couple of hours and on a clear day the views are incredible. Just check the tide times because you can get cut off if you're not careful.
Mappleton to Hornsea along the cliff tops is a nice easy one. About six miles, mostly flat, with sea views the whole way. The erosion along this stretch is fascinating and a bit scary. Fields that were there ten years ago are literally in the sea now.
Flamborough Head is a bit further out but it's stunning. The chalk cliffs, the gannet colony, the lighthouse. One of the best coastal walks in Yorkshire without a doubt.
