Hull Attractions – The Best Things to See and Do in the City
Whether you are visiting Hull for a match day or you just want to explore the city properly here are the best attractions Hull has to offer. Honestly this city is massively underrated and most people have no idea what is here.
The Deep
One of the most spectacular aquariums in Europe. Sits right at the point where the River Hull meets the Humber. The building itself is an attraction. Take the kids or just go yourself it is genuinely impressive.
Humber Bridge
When it opened in 1981 it was the longest single span suspension bridge in the world. You can walk or cycle across it. The views are something else on a clear day.
Hull Old Town
700 years of history in a small area. The Museum Quarter, Holy Trinity Church, the Land of Green Ginger. Proper historic streets that most visitors walk straight past.
Ferens Art Gallery
Free entry and genuinely world class exhibitions. Hosted the Turner Prize in 2017 during City of Culture year. Do not sleep on this one.
Hull Marina
Great for a walk along the waterfront. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby. On a summer evening it is as good as anywhere in the north of England.
The Bonus Arena
Hulls main concert and events venue. Decent sized acts come through regularly.
What would you add to the list? And if you are coming for a match day which pubs do you recommend near MKM Stadium?
