Player Ratings (out of 10, my pissed-off view – your turn):Bloody hell lads, what a gut punch that was at the MKM today!
We started alright, leveled it up quick after going behind, but then completely collapsed in the second half. 1-3 to Millwall, late goals from their subs killing us off. Jake Cooper headed them in early (14'), Gelhardt equalized nicely (18' assist from Joseph), but then Ivanovic (70') and Coburn (78') buried us. We had chances, xG was decent on our side, but individual mistakes and no cutting edge up top cost us big time.
Jakirović's tactics? Looked like we sat too deep after equalizing, couldn't handle their physicality, and the defense switched off for those late ones. Play-off race is heating up – Millwall leapfrogged us, now they're pushing for top spots while we're slipping. Ipswich loss midweek, now this... morale in the bin.
Gutted, but let's hear it from you lot. Was it the ref screwing us? Players bottling it? Jakirović out of ideas? Gelhardt at least showed up, but the rest...
- Pandur (GK): 6 – Made a couple of decent stops, but powerless on the headers.
- Coyle (RB): 5 – Struggled against their wingers, got caught out a few times.
- Jones (CB): 5 – Part of the mess on Cooper's goal, shaky.
- Greaves (CB): 6.5 – Fought hard as usual, our best defender again.
- Christie (LB): 5 – Limited going forward, exposed defensively.
- Walter (CM): 5.5 – Tried to dictate but lost too many balls.
- Dozzell (CM): 4.5 – Invisible today, where was the energy?
- Slater (CM): 6 – Ran his socks off, but no real impact.
- Lundstram (AM/CM): 5.5 – Booked, some fouls, but creative spark missing.
- Gelhardt (ST): 7 – Scored a cracker, our main threat, unlucky not to get more.
- Joseph (ST/AM): 6 – Good assist, worked hard, but faded.
- Subs (Ohio, Koumas etc.): 5 – Didn't turn the game, too little too late.
What do you reckon lads? Time for Jakirović to go? Gelhardt MOTM? Next games are massive – win or we're toast.
