Alright lads, I know we can't actually do this, but humour me for a minute. Imagine we had a magic wand and could bring back one former Hull City player - in their prime - to help us through the rest of this season and secure our objectives.
Now, I'm not talking about bringing back legends who'd be drawing their pension by now (though I'd never say no to prime Deano!). I mean thinking realistically about players who've moved on in recent years, or even going back a bit further to those who really made a difference in amber and black.
Would you go for a proven goalscorer to guarantee those crucial three points? A rock-solid defender to shore up the back line? Perhaps a creative midfielder who can unlock stubborn defences? Or even a commanding presence who could lift the whole squad with their leadership and experience?
The Championship is absolutely relentless, isn't it? One minute you're looking comfortable mid-table, next thing you know you're nervously glancing over your shoulder or dreaming of the play-offs. Having that one player who's been there, done it, and knows what it takes to get results in this division could be massive.
I've got my answer sorted in my head, but I reckon there'll be some right debates about this one. Different eras, different systems, different needs - we've had some proper quality pass through the MKM over the years.
Who's your choice and why would they make the difference for us right now?
