Fantasy transfer time. You're in charge of the budget and you can sign one player this summer to strengthen the squad. Who are you going for?
Rules. It has to be realistic. Don't say Mbappe or Bellingham. Championship level players or lower Premier League players who might drop down. Someone who would actually consider coming to Hull. And tell me what position and why.
I'm going with a left back because we desperately need one. My pick would be someone like Ian Maatsen if Chelsea loan him out again, but that's probably too ambitious. More realistically I'd take one of the better League One left backs who's ready for a step up. Someone young, quick, can defend and get forward.
The other option is a centre back to partner with what we've got. If we go up we need Premier League quality at the back and that means buying in the summer, not waiting until August when everyone's desperate and prices are inflated.
