Six months ago half the fanbase wanted him gone. Now we're sitting in the playoff places and playing some of the best football I've seen at the MKM in years. What's changed?
For me it's the pressing. We actually look like we have a plan now instead of just hoofing it forward and hoping for the best. The way we played against Sheffield United was class. Everyone knew their role, the movement off the ball was sharp, and we looked like a proper team for the first time in ages.
Gelhardt has been unreal since January. Vipotnik is scoring for fun. Even the defence looks solid which is something I never thought I'd say this season after that Watford disaster.
I think the January window saved him honestly. The squad was thin and he needed reinforcements. Now we've got actual depth and competition for places. Players know they can't just coast because someone's ready to take their shirt.
We've got a genuine shot at the playoffs here. Maybe even automatics if results go our way. Am I getting carried away or is this actually happen
