Commuting from Hull. Is it doable?

My company is opening an office in Leeds and they want me to go in three days a week. Currently trying to figure out whether commuting from Hull is realistic or whether I need to think about relocating.
Hull to Leeds by train is about an hour depending on the service. It's not terrible but it's not cheap either. Season ticket would be over three grand a year. Driving is about the same time but then you've got parking in Leeds city centre on top of fuel costs.
The thing is I love living in Hull. My kids are settled in school, the mortgage is manageable, and we've got family here. Moving to Leeds would mean a smaller house for twice the money and losing everything we've built here.
I know some people who commute from Brough which cuts the train time down a bit. But even then you're looking at the best part of two hours door to door when you factor in getting to the station and getting from Leeds station to the office.
Does anyone on here commute from Hull to Leeds or Sheffield? Is it sustainable long term or does it grind you down after a while? Any tips for making it w
ork?
