East Park is brilliant for dogs but sometimes you want a change of scenery. Here are some alternatives that our two spaniels love.
Pickering Park in west Hull is underrated. Decent size, nice paths around the lake, and it's never as busy as East Park so your dog can actually run around without crashing into forty other dogs. The botanical garden section is lovely too.
Humber Bridge Country Park is amazing for dogs. Proper woodland walks, long enough to tire out even the most energetic dog, and the car park is free. Off lead through most of it as well.
Cottingham Parks. There are a few green spaces around Cottingham that are perfect for a quick walk if you're that side of Hull. Baynard Park and the playing fields near the village are both good.
For a longer adventure the Wolds are incredible for dog walking. The route from Goodmanham to Londesborough is about five miles of open countryside with hardly anyone else around. Heaven for dogs who love to explore.
Where do you take yours?
