Gustavo Hamer is the signing of the season in the Championship

I don't think people outside Hull realise how good Hamer has been for us this season. Eight assists from midfield and he controls the tempo of every game he plays in. The way he picks a pass is different to anything we've had at this club in years.
What impresses me most is his range. Short passes to keep possession, long diagonals to switch play, through balls that split defences open. He sees things two seconds before everyone else and that's the mark of a proper quality midfielder.
I know Coventry fans were gutted to lose him and I can see why. He's been the best midfielder in the Championship this season and I genuinely believe he'd be starting for a bottom half Premier League side right now.
The key is keeping him if we don't go up. Because every club in the division will be looking at him in the summ
er.

The passing range on this bloke is something else. That diagonal ball he plays from the right side of midfield to the left winger is basically our entire attacking plan and it works every single time because no one can stop it. He sees the game in slow motion while everyone else is running around like headless chickens. Coventry fans warned us he was special and they weren't wrong. Best midfielder we've had since Livermore.

Watched him against Bristol City from behind the goal and his awareness of space is frightening. He always finds the little pockets where nobody's marking him and then he's got the quality to do something with it before anyone can close him down. The worry is keeping him if we don't go up. A player like that won't hang around in the Championship and clubs with more money will come sniffing. Enjoy every game because we might not have him for long.
