New Restaurant Openings in Hull 2026 — What’s on Your Radar?

Hull’s food scene has genuinely transformed in the last few years. We’ve gone from being a city where your options were basically a Wetherspoons or a chippy to having a proper diverse restaurant scene.
I’ve noticed a few new places opening up recently and wanted to see if anyone’s tried them yet. The Fruit Market area especially seems to be getting a new restaurant every few months.
What I love about Hull’s food scene is that it’s still affordable. In Leeds or Manchester you’re paying London prices for the same quality food. In Hull you can have a proper meal out for two with drinks for under £50. Try doing that in Spinningfields.

The food scene on Princes Avenue and Newland Avenue has got really good. It used to just be takeaways but now there’s proper sit-down restaurants, brunch spots, and specialty places. I heard there’s a new Italian opening near the marina area soon which should be good. Will report back when I’ve tried it.
