The LED advertising boards are giving me a headache

Is it just me or are the LED boards around the pitch absolutely blinding this season? I sit in the lower West Stand and they're directly in my eyeline. The constant flashing and changing adverts is genuinely distracting. I'm trying to watch the football and I've got a neon disco going on in my peripheral vision.

I know the club needs the advertising revenue and I'm not saying get rid of them entirely. But do they need to flash that aggressively? Some grounds have them running smoothly and you barely notice them. Ours feel like they're trying to induce a seizure.

Has anyone else noticed this or am I just getting old? Genuine question.

While they are annoying, many grounds have similar advertising displays these days - even teams several divisions below us. I haven't noticed ours being particularly more annoying than any other ground i've been to, truth be told.

I'm pleased to see some actual relevant adverts being shown on the boards these days. University of Hull. Jackson's Tiger Bread. "Tiger Bet". And obviously the Corendon airliner in Hull City livery.

Somebody's trying to curate the advertising, to a reasonable extent, rather than just selling completely irrelevant adverts from the highest bidder.
