Quick question for the foodies on here. If you've got an hour for lunch in the city centre and you want something good, where are you going? Trinity Market or the Humber Street area?
Trinity Market is cheaper no question. You can get a massive bowl of noodles or a loaded burrito for about seven quid and the variety is class. Thai, Caribbean, Mexican, Italian, all within about twenty metres of each other. The atmosphere is good too, sitting at the communal tables with everyone else grabbing a quick bite.
Humber Street is more of a sit down experience. The cafes and restaurants there are a step up in terms of quality but you're paying for it. Fifteen to twenty quid for a main course is standard. The food is excellent though and the setting in the old warehouse buildings is mint.
For me it depends on the day. Monday to Thursday when I'm at work it's Trinity Market because it's fast and cheap. Friday when I've got a bit more time and fancy treating myself it's Humber Street.
What about you lot?

Trinity Market every time for a quick lunch. The Caribbean stall does a jerk chicken rice box that's honestly restaurant quality for about eight quid. My daughter loves the crepe place too so it's easy to keep everyone happy. Humber Street is more of a treat, somewhere I'd go for a birthday lunch or catching up with friends. Both are great for completely different reasons. The fact Hull has both is a sign of how much the food scene has improved.

I work near Trinity Market so I'm in there about three times a week. The Thai place is my regular. Green curry with rice for seven fifty and it's properly spicy if you ask for it. The only downside is the seating. At lunchtime on a weekday it's rammed and finding somewhere to sit can be a challenge. Humber Street is quieter during the week which is nice but you're paying double for the privilege. Both have their place.
