Brilliant result for the U21s last night - beat Leeds 3-1 away from home!
Really impressed with what I saw. The young lads looked sharp, played some proper football, and weren't intimidated at Elland Road at all.
Standout Performers:
The number 10 ran the show in midfield - vision and passing range was top class
Centre-back pairing looked solid, dealt with everything Leeds threw at them
Our striker took his goal brilliantly, proper composed finish
Why This Matters:
With the first team pushing for playoffs, it's reassuring to know we've got depth coming through. A few of these lads look close to being ready for the step up. The 17-year-old winger who came on looked rapid - one to watch for sure.
Academy's been producing some decent talent lately and it's good to see them getting results against quality opposition like Leeds.
