Can we have an honest discussion about where this club is under Acun? Because I feel like the fanbase is split right down the middle and nobody's really addressing it properly.
On one hand we're in the playoff places and the squad looks better than it has in a couple of years. January signings were good, Gelhardt and Koumas have been class, and there's a genuine buzz around the place again.
On the other hand the whole ownership model worries me. We've had what, four managers in two and a half years? The transfer embargo situation earlier in the season was embarrassing. There's still no real clarity on the long term plan and every few months there's a rumour about him selling up.
I want to believe in the project. I really do. But Hull City fans have been burned before by owners who promise the world and deliver nothing. We need stability more than anything. A manager who stays for more than 18 months. A transfer strategy that isn't just panic buys in January. A clear vision for where this club is going.
