Trying to find a decent gym in Hull that isn't just rows of machines with grime music blasting at full volume. Ideally something with good free weights, maybe some classes, and staff who actually know what they're talking about.
I've tried PureGym near the centre and it's fine for the price but it's rammed every evening between five and eight and getting a squat rack is basically impossible. The equipment is alright but nobody cleans anything and the changing rooms are questionable.
Heard good things about Endurance Fitness in the Avenues area but haven't been. Also someone mentioned a CrossFit box near the marina that's supposed to be really good but I can't remember the name.
For running I've been doing Pearson Park, the marina loop, and the Humber Bridge. All great routes. But I need somewhere to lift weights in peace. Recommendations welcome.
