Do we actually need a new left back in the summer?

With the way things are going we might actually have a shot at going up but looking at the squad honestly the left back position worries me. We've been patching it all season with players out of position and it shows.
If we stay in the Championship we need a proper left back who can get forward and defend. If we go up it becomes even more urgent because Premier League wingers will tear apart anyone who's been shoehorned into the position.
Anyone got names? Someone realistic for our budget, not some FIFA suggestion who'd never come to Hull in a million years. We need someone from the Championship or League One who's proven they can do a jo

Yes. Next question. Seriously though it's been the obvious weak point all season. Every time we play a team with a decent right winger we get exposed down that side. I like the lads who've filled in there but it's not their natural position and it shows under pressure. We need someone who can actually defend that side properly and offer something going forward. Doesn't need to be a superstar just someone who's played left back for an actual season in the Championship.

The fact that we went through the entire January window knowing left back was a problem and didn't sign one baffles me. We got Gelhardt and Koumas which is great but you don't build a promotion push on vibes and hope. If the left back position costs us in a big game in April nobody should be surprised because we all saw it coming. Should have been priority number one in January.

Gelhardt alone makes it a good window. The lad is a level above most Championship strikers and the fact Leeds let him go on loan tells you more about their squad depth than his quality. Koumas is exciting too, bags of talent, just needs game time and confidence. My only gripe is the same as everyone else. Left back. We all know it's a weakness and we did nothing about it. Seven out of ten is fair. Could have been a nine if we'd filled that one gap.
