We're past the halfway point and sitting in the playoffs. Time for predictions. Where do Hull City finish this season?
I'm going to say fifth. I think we'll stay in the playoffs but I can't see us catching the top two. Leeds and Sheffield United are too strong and too consistent. The good news is that fifth or sixth gives us home advantage in the playoff semi final first leg which is massive.
The run in is tough. We've got Sunderland away, Leeds at home, Burnley away in the last ten games. Those are the ones that'll define our season. If we can get seven points from those three I think we're golden.
The squad depth is my only concern. We're thin in a couple of positions and one injury to Vipotnik or Hamer and we're in trouble. Touch wood everyone stays fit because this is the best chance we've had at promotion since Bruce took us up in 2016.
Come on then. Give me your final position, playoff predictions, and who goes up.

I'm going with fourth because I'm an optimist. The January signings have given us a proper squad for the first time this season and the confidence is sky high. My only worry is what happens if Vipotnik gets injured because we don't really have a replacement who can score fifteen goals. Apart from that I think we're well set. The MKM is going to be incredible for the run in. Even my daughter who barely understands football can feel the excitement. Something special is brewing.

Fifth for me as well. I think we'll finish strongly but not quite strongly enough for automatics. The good news is that form going into the playoffs is more important than where you finish and right now our form is as good as anyone's. I'd rather go into the playoffs flying than limp over the line in second place with nothing left in the tank. The playoffs suit us. Big atmosphere at the MKM, a squad full of players who can handle pressure, and that Wembley know how from 2008. Bring it on.
