FULL TIME – HUGE 3 POINTS
What a result. Exactly what we needed at this stage of the season.
First half we looked sharp, pressing high and actually playing with intent. You could see the urgency straight away. Second half got a bit nervy as expected, but we dug in and showed proper character. That is the kind of performance that gets you into the play offs.
Massive credit to the lads. Some of them ran themselves into the ground. That is the fight we have been asking for all season.
Special mention to the defence as well. Not perfect, but when it mattered they stood up. And the crowd played a huge part too. Proper atmosphere today.
Still work to do, nothing is done yet. But if we keep this level and start putting a run together, we are right in the mix.
