Big news coming out of the Hull Daily Mail this weekend - Manchester United and Hull City have agreed a loan deal for Toby Collyer, with the 22-year-old midfielder set to spend the second half of this campaign at the MKM Stadium.

Name: Toby Collyer
Age: 22
Position: Central Midfielder
Current Club: Manchester United
Previous Loan: West Brom (first half of 2025-26)
LATEST UPDATES
According to reports, Hull City are hoping to complete the deal by Monday so that Collyer can be involved in Tuesday night's crucial clash against Preston North End at Deepdale.
The young midfielder made 12 appearances during his loan spell at West Brom earlier this season, though his time there was disrupted by a calf injury.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR HULL?
With our ongoing transfer restrictions limiting us to free agents and loans only, this could be a shrewd bit of business. We're currently sitting 7th in the Championship, just outside the play-offs on goal difference, and strengthening the midfield could be exactly what we need to push on.
Collyer adds depth to our midfield options alongside Hadziahmetovic, Lundstram, and Gyabi. Given our strong run of form recently (one defeat in eight), bringing in fresh legs for the second half of the season makes perfect sense.
