With the January transfer window now closed and the business end of the season approaching, I wanted to start a discussion about our academy talent and who we should be keeping an eye on for potential first-team opportunities.
Hull City's academy has produced some excellent talent over the years - players like Jarrod Bowen, Keane Lewis-Potter, and more recently Lewis-Potter showed what our youth system can produce.
Questions for discussion:
Which academy players have impressed you in the U21s or U18s this season?
Are there any youngsters you think are ready for first-team minutes before the end of the season?
How do you rate our academy's current development pathway compared to other Championship clubs?
Should we be giving more opportunities to academy graduates, or is the loan system working better for their development?
I know some of the lads have been doing well in the youth leagues, but I don't get to watch as many academy games as I'd like. Would be great to hear from anyone who follows the youth teams more closely!
What are your thoughts? COYH!
