Hull FC vs Hull KR – Which Side Are You On?
Every city has its rivalries but Hull is unique. Two rugby league clubs in the same city both with passionate fanbases both with serious history. You are either black and white or red and white. There is no middle ground.
Hull FC the old money club of Airlie Street and the Boulevard. Hull KR the east Hull club with that fierce working class pride. The derby between these two is one of the most intense fixtures in rugby league full stop.
Most Hull City fans I know follow one of them as well. Personally I have always had a soft spot for FC but I know plenty of Tigers fans who are KR through and through.
Which side are you on? And what is your favourite derby memory?

Neither side so there is a middle ground.
My favourite derby day memory was quite recently at the MKM stadium when both sets of supporters rained bottles down on each other. One hit my nine year old granddaughter, so it did happen. But I must have a better memory than most because that particular incident has been erased from everyone else's memory, never to be mentioned again, perhaps because it goes against the 'rugby league is good for you' ethos that is wheeled out in the local media. Surprisingly too, despite the MKM having a super sonic CCTV system that can pick out individuals shouting out homophobic insults at opposing players, but it apparently only works at football matches, the same system didn't see a thing, guv, on the occasion of the famous bottle throwing battle between rival fans at the world famous Hull rugby league derby, where everyone is good to their mothers, and the salt of the earth, etc etc. and of course no-one was arrested, banned, or even spoken too, nor did either club receive not only a fine but a warning. Which is odd because in the same stadium, same city, same stewards, same police force, anyone sneezing out of place at a football match can be banned for life. So no, not everyone is either red and white or black and white in Hull.
